7 Months!

Seven months and counting. As far as I can tell, Madeline is right on track! And, just tonight, she finally started to show some real interest in food. I took some to daycare, so they try at lunch, and we try at breakfast and dinner. And, it seems to be working. She's finally opening her mouth and not spitting all of it out. It's only taken more than 2 months. Maybe she'll get through a jar in less than 3 days now.

She's full on crawling now and you better watch out! She'll follow you from room to room and does not like to be alone! Don't leave me! And, she's even pulling herself up a little bit ... just to her knees, but it's a start.

Her favorite toys right now are one of Luke's trucks or one of the pieces from her little purse from Grandmother or her picnic basket. Or, she's good with a mixing spoon or spatula. Really, anything she can put her hands on, she's interested in. Last night, we went to dinner, and we had to clear a 2-foot radius around Madeline. She wants to touch everything!

She oozes sweetness and I just want to kiss her over and over. Such a sweet baby girl! I love that we rock together each night to go to sleep. I know that she should be sleeping better at night and soothe herself to sleep when she wakes up, but I also know that I'm her momma and when she calls out at 4 a.m., I can't bear to listen to it. She's only 7 months old, so if she needs some comfort, I'll get up for her.
