First Haircut

Luke had his first haircut this weekend. He looks like a real boy now! He was so cute, and the place we went was too funny -- he sat in a little fire engine and turned the steering wheel back and forth, just like he was driving.

Nicole = Victory of the People

Nicole means "victory of the people" and that's what we're having at the Scott house. Small victories, not necessarily of "people," just one little person.

I've been stressed lately about Luke's eating. I don't think he's eating solid table foods as well as he should, so we worked and worked on it this weekend. And, he did great! He ate every single meal really well, so I'm feeling good! Right now, his favorite foods are mangoes, mashed potatoes, muffins, sweet potatoes, green beans, waffles, bananas, ham. This week, I'm going to really try to get more vegetables and meat in that belly.

Sister Suzy's Southern Soiree

We had Suzy's bachelorette party last weekend. Whew. I'm still tired. I haven't gone out for three nights in a row in ... um ... years!? But, man, it was fun!

Suzy has a whole group of great friends who flew across the country to celebrate her adios to singlehood. Several of the girls who came were from Seattle, and a couple had never been to Texas before. They even bought real cowboy boots, which cracks me up because I don't even have cowboys boots, and I've lived here my entire life. But, now I want some.

We rented a completely awesome house near downtown (a la MTV Cribs), had an obnoxious black Hummer limo, enjoyed a night out on Sixth Street, cruised Lake Travis in a pontoon boat. Finally, we had a sip and ship shower for my family to see Suzy before she headed back to Seattle.
Now, just a couple more weeks until Suzy Meador transforms into Suzy Hawkins.
Suzy's feet must have hurt from her new cowboy boots. Good thing these firemen were around.
I think Katie is super excited about getting in as 21. Suzy? Not so sure what she's trying to stop from happening. Maybe the enormous amount of fun she's about to have.
Mom, Sue, Aunt Patty, cousins Becky, Traci, Mackenzie and Kendall.

11 Months!

We're almost there! Eleven months and counting! The baseball glove is looking smaller and smaller. We'll have the boys' birthdays together later this month. Two little monkeys are turning one!
