Crocheting is a Dangerous Hobby

WARNING -- DO NOT LOOK AT THESE PICTURES IF YOU'RE A WIMP -- BLOOD AND GUTS!!

Mom spends her days and nights refurbishing her antique dolls that she sells through her doll hospital website, and it's turning out to be a pretty lucrative little side business. However, from the looks of these pictures, it's a little dangerous, too!

Apparently, Mom stepped off the couch today right onto a crochet needle. The hooked end went into her heel somehow. She says the pain was unbearable! Since she was home alone, she managed to crawl (!) to the car and drive herself to the emergency room where she had to crawl again (!) to the front door. She says the doctor was kind of stumped as to how such a blunt-edged needle made it so deep into her foot. But, she's OK.

Still crocheting, I'm sure.
