Adam and I went with my family to the Leonard Cohen concert earlier this week. It was great -- sold out in 1 1/2 hours, so I'm glad we got tickets! He had four (!) encores and five or six standing ovations.
We haven't seen him in concert since we watched Dad play with him about 16 years ago! Dad was the drummer on Leonard's 1979, 1980, 1988 and 1993 world tours, and he's played on four of his albums. A really old picture of Dad (he still has black hair!) was in a Leonard Cohen feature article in the Austin newspaper this week: http://www.austin360.com/music/content/music/stories/2009/04/0402xlcover.html

We even got to go backstage so Dad could hang with his old music buddies, and you could tell he was having so much fun! (In the picture are Mom's cousin Bob and his mom Chris, Mom, me, Dad's cousin's husband Hobby, Brooke, Dad's cousin Marilyn, Brooke's friend Matt and Adam).
